Just treated my Pa to the Gardener's High Tea today and it was worth every penny. Looked fantastic and tasted even better. Fabulous treat and I would thoroughly recommend it
We went for the special Hallowe'en evening and the food was fantastic. HOWEVER I am a coeliac & very allergic to gluten; I ordered the apple crumble as the menu said it was gluten free. When it arrived I was very suspicious & asked the waitress to confirm it was gluten free, whilst she was confident it was she went to check with the kitchen.they confirmed that it DID infact contain gluten. I was incredibly disappointed but relieved I had eaten any as gluten makes me very very physically sick as soon as I eat any!
It's always good to have amenities close to home, but it's so much better when they're as great as Green Pastures. I was a customer when the original garden centre stood alone without the addition of an award-winning restaurant, fabulous farm shop and now shop and post office too. I've eaten many a meal in the restaurant and can't fault the superb food accompanied by excellent service. The farm shop has been far too tempting, selling delights which the whole family have enjoyed time and again. A super place run by lovely people who really do seem to care about what they do and the local community, as we saw only last week with the money raised at the Bake-off - a great evening.
We're delighted to announce the return of Afternoon Teas to Green Pastures! But we know only too well not to get carried away at this time of year so our restocking is as always carefully controlled, .
