I graduated from Manchester University in 1985 with an honours degree in Town and Country Planning. I became a Development Planner at Conran Roche, a renowned planning and architectural practice where I gained valuable experience in all aspects of planning, development and urban regeneration. From there I moved into the housebuilding sector and from 1988 worked for several major house-builders identifying, appraising and negotiating the purchase of residential land as well as coordinating planning applications.
