Recently had new window and doors fitted. We have used Croft's several times in the past and always been happy, not the cheapest but well worth it.

We've recently had croft windows installed on our house. We had been recommended them by some family members, and gave them a ring. We had the sales man come round and he was fine, spoke highly of his company, and we were happy with the quote he gave us. After we agreed a date for installation, a surveyor came round. Not a friendly chap, but it was a Saturday morning. He measured the windows and left. The date came for the windows to be installed, and croft had said it would take between 3/4 days (Monday to Thursday), we had made arrangements to be at home for those days. The fist day the installation team started and then informed us the two windows they had started on couldn't be fitted, due to the windows being measured wrong. The third window could not also be fitted due to a custom made bed being in the way. Nobody had mentioned about the bed being a problem. I rang the office for them to fob me off with excuses, and they would ring me back after they had spoken to the installation team. NO phone call back! The other windows went in fine on the Tuesday. Nobody came on the Wednesday because of the mess up on Monday. I then rang again on the Wednesday to see why nobody was coming and ask when the other windows were being fitted. They informed me it could possibly be Friday but could only be sure on Thursday morning when they get a delivery, and not sure if the glass would be ready. Thursday morning arrived and finally they could use a phone, they where coming Friday. Half an hour later, I received a phone call from a man who would be doing the render on the outside, asking could I be at home in 30 minutes. We rearranged our plans and waited for him. They did a ok job, but left a absolute mess all over the driveway, which was never cleaned up. Friday now, and the last windows were installed and the team left. Within this time, we noticed the handles where the wrong colour. The fitting team said they would inform the office. Another phone call later the office knew nothing about it and, told us they had none in, and would come back another day? The following Friday the handles were changed. In all, the office staff don't know how to use a telephone to inform you what is going on, or keep you informed about there mistakes. They also employ a surveyor who can't use a tape measure, so just guessed the measurements. The rendering team, are not very good a cleaning up after themselves, and leave a mess like a Tasmanian devil. There estimations on time are terrible, as the job was only going to take 3/4 days but in total from start to finish took 10 days. As we had made arrangements on the other days we had to rearrange our plans to accommodate around them. Not a phone call of thanks or even a phone call to establish they had finished and were we happy, just the bill. Wouldn't recommend the company, with plenty of others out there, but saying that the windows and installation of them are great.
