Sibbons (Alresford) Ltd was established in 1963 by founder Norman Sibbons who after a few successful years expanded his property development company into plant and tool hire. Originally trading from St. Johns Workshop in Bromley Road, Elmstead Market, the company then expanded to larger premises around the corner at Bottles Hall in Clacton Road. Since 1986 Sibbons has traded from its current purpose built premises, a three acre site located at Keelars Tye, Keelars Lane, Elmstead. Initially with a single large building housing our specialist workshops, a shop and office, this is now used as a stores and workshop with a larger shop and office built next door which we still use today.

We have a diverse collection of excavators for hire, from leading brands such as Yanmar, Hyundai, and Komatsu. Our range includes mini and micro excavators between 1 and 3.5 tonnes, as well as midi excavators from 5 to just under 9 tonnes. All of our machines are long arm, meaning they have extra reach when compared with a standard excavator. Sibbons also provide a number of accessories to customise your hired machine. We have various types of breakers available for different excavators, as well as auger attachments.

For over 50 years, Sibbons has gained a full understanding in the supply of electrical & lighting products for the workplace, home or building site. Many products come from leading brands such as Stanley, Rigid, DeWalt and Zircon. The products in this range include lighting, torches & head torches, extension leads, electrical fittings, transformers & splitters, site fittings, connectors & fuses, testers, batteries and detectors & alarms. Need the product as soon as possible? We offer a next day delivery which is available on items we currently have in stock, we will also provide free delivery services on any order over 100.

We have in-house facilities to PAT test your electrical equipment, so you don't fall foul of health and safety or work with potentially dangerous equipment. Our trained staff can test and certificate your goods quickly and efficiently so you don't have to worry.
