Selling new and second hand furniture, as well as accessories for the home, there is something for everyone. We believe in the environmental benefits of restoring furniture rather than throwing it away and, where we stock new furniture, we try to stock furniture made from reused and recycled materials. We also specialise in the repair and restoration of furniture and decorative items - from simple repairs to the full restoration and preservation of large pieces of furniture.
Huxley At Home is run by Mark and Beth Huxley and carries on the tradition of having a furniture store in Runcton. The shop was originally started by David Blackwell as Runcton Furniture who handed over to Pam Crosland who renamed it The Apple Barn. When Pam decided it was time to retire Mark, who had worked alongside both previous owners for over 12 years, was the natural successor. Clients come from miles to benefit from Mark and his team's skill and expertise, often returning with more items, trusting them to bring a new lease of life to their much-loved pieces.
