DOC Building Facilities Ltd (Degrees of Comfort) began in 2005. We have grown from strength to strength since then and believe our success is due to our commitment to providing high quality and cost-effective solutions to our clients. We cater for domestic, retail, office and IT environments - no project is too small or too large. The extensive range of air conditioning units we supply & install will heat and cool your home or workplace in the most efficient manner and are all controlled remotely.

More and more people are experiencing the benefits of air conditioning in their daily routines. Another added benefit of the inverter range of 'A' rated energy equipment we install is energy saving, reduced power consumption, and increased efficiency. Air conditioning is an ideal way of conditioning the internal environment of any building large or small. It not only provides cooling when required but also heating. It is vital to keep on top of maintaining the air conditioning and Degrees Of Comfort can help in this area too.

I have a large sectional-concrete constructed 'shed' in the garden which serves as an office space when working from home, a workshop for woodworking/metalworking projects and a 'man-cave' when I want some 'me' time. Despite my best efforts to insulate it from heat and cold, it still gets a little toasty in the summer and somewhat chilly in the winter. Also, in spite being in a 'key-work' role, I spend at least a day a week working from home and wasn't looking forward to the warmer summer weather. I wanted to install a proper air-conditioning system to keep my working space comfortable during the summer and winter and came across Degrees of Comfort when I searched for a local air-conditioning installer. Kevin called me within a couple of hours of submitting an enquiry via the website and we arranged a survey appointment within the week. He was friendly, courteous and helpful and made a recommendation on a suitable system, advised on required services and provided a quote within hours.

The installation took place within 3 weeks of quotation and the install team were friendly, helpful and professional. The job was completed to an exemplary standard of workmanship, not a shred of dust was left behind and the team took away every item of packaging.

After a brief run-through of the system's functions, including the web App (you can control your air-con from your phone - who knew?), the guys left me to enjoy my newly comfortable, climate-controlled surroundings.

A few days in, I'm amazed at how much the system isn't costing me to run and we're already contemplating an additional system for the bedrooms in the house.

I can't recommend Degrees of Comfort highly enough!

EDIT: It seems I can't add a second review, so I'll just have to append this one.

The first unit is performing perfectly and still costing next to nothing to run.

SWMBO didn't take much persuading to take the plunge on the additional rooms after spending half a day working in my office, so I arranged another survey visit with Kevin for the three 'bedrooms' - Our main bedroom, my good lady's office and our spare (now converted to a gym) room.

We've been running a portable Aircon unit as required in the main bedroom since last year. It's brutally noisy, even on low fan speed, and despite being properly vented through the wall, it still costs a small fortune to run. By contrast split systems are unobtrusive, whisper quiet and extremely efficient with very low running costs.

Kevin proposed a Mitsubishi Electric multi-split system (3 indoor units with one outside unit) with all of the services run in the loft space (gulp, urgent loft sort-out needed!😬)

On install day, the guys turned up at 8am sharp and got straight to work. Friendly, courteous, helpful and also happy to make friends with our extremely sociable Border Collie, Stan.

The work took almost 2 full days - there's a lot more involved in installing a 3-way multi-split system than I had initially appreciated.

Installation quality is exemplary. Everything is neat, tidy and unobtrusive and not a speck of dust was left behind.

The system works phenomenally well - within a short space of time, the rooms had cooled to a very comfortable 19°C on a warm, sticky day and it's almost totally silent in operation.

Again, wi-fi setup with the MELCloud App was a cinch. We can now control all 4 units from a smart phone/tablet.

Great quality equipment, professionally installed to an exceptionally high standard. If you're looking for air-conditioning, you'll be hard-pressed to find a better service provider than Degrees of Comfort!
