Spadework is a registered charity based on a five-acre site in Offham Kent. In 2019 Spadework celebrates 35 years of providing care, support and meaningful opportunities to adults with learning and other disabilities. The Spadework Trainees are involved in a variety of activities, from growing vegetables and plants, to making jams, chutneys, woodwork and craft items. All of the items are sold on site. The Trainees assist in the Spadework Farm Shop, Garden Centre and Caf. In 2018, Spadework provided 73 451 hours of service to 111 adults.
Lovely garden centre with a terrific atmosphere. We bought lots of plants today and Oliver was extremely helpful and chatty. We also had lunch yesterday which was delicious, especially the salad which had different herbs in. Will definitely recommend to our family and friends. Wouldn't buy our plants from anywhere else now.
Spadeworks is a joy to visit. The plants are the best. The trainees are so helpful. You can always get good advice. Ordered two bags of logs. Good price and when they arrived they even stacked them for us for no extra cost. Thank you Spadeworks your the best. Sue and Geoff xx
Would like to say a massive thank you to the fabulous staff in the tea room for the afternoon tea I shared with my mum yesterday! Delicious sandwiches, gorgeous scones, scrummy coffee and walnut cake, light and fluffy lemon drizzle and hot hot tea! It was all wonderful from the tablecloth to the china cups and saucers to the flowers on the table - just as an afternoon tea should be! I have and will recommend, and I will be back for another one day very soon! Thanks you x
