Broughtons of Leicester Ltd is an independent family run retailer specialising in lighting, ironmongery and accessories for period style homes. The name Broughton has been synonymous with Ironmongery in Leicester (U.K.) since 1888, when our forefathers founded Broughton & Jones in Market Place, Leicester. In 1979, I recognised the need for a quality specialist ironmongery showroom, committed to providing traditional, high quality goods, with a personal, old-fashioned service. Since then, Broughtons of Leicester Ltd has grown from strength to strength and now offers the widest range of period accessories for doors, windows and cabinets, and an amazing display of interior and exterior lighting at our impressive showrooms in Anstey, Leicestershire.

Our collection of Traditional Outdoor Light Fittings contains carefully chosen wall lights and hanging lanterns that will suit many types of property. They are always popular, having timeless style and practicality and they are characterized by their black or dark colours with some lovely leaded examples too. Many of the lights featured here have matching pedestal lights, pillar lights and even lamp posts so your theme can be carried through your patio and grounds. We estimate that these are THE finest quality and most authentic wooden door knobs that you will find. Produced by a family run workshop who have been making ironmongery and door furniture since 1886. We recommend a minimum of 4 (100mm) latch with these and all knobs. All but the ball shaped door knobs are suitable for Rim Locks (surface mounted) and Mortice Locks (cut into edge of doors).

Few things in life bring such simple pleasure as the warmth and character that a real wood burning stove brings to a home. Both classic in design and extremely practical, a Carron stove is an efficient and clean way to enjoy the charm of a solid fuel fire. The Green Enamel 7.3kw Stove is on display at our showrooms in Anstey, Leicestershire, along with colour samples for the other colours.

Our cast iron radiators come in a variety of authentic period designs from the Victorian and Edwardian era and can be finished either with a huge choice of paint options including Farrow & Ball colours, or hand polished which reveals all the detail of the cast. Most radiators come in a variety of heights, and are sold by section - meaning you can customise your radiator to your required width by choosing the number of sections you require.
