GFS plumbing is run by Graham from the head office in Belper, Derbyshire. We are a family business providing plumbers and gas engineers throughout Derbyshire, specialising in high-quality bathroom design and installation. Established in 2008 by partners Graham and Sophie after a decade of learning with other Derbyshire plumbing firms, GFS plumbing now includes two more brothers, Joseph - a fantastic bathroom fitter and tiler, and Jack, a fully qualified gas engineer. Graham started specialising in bathroom fitting in 2005 when he found his love for design and planning can be put to good use alongside his technical plumbing skills.
Our Derby plumbing team includes fully-qualified plumbing and heating engineers as well as bathroom specialists and a Gas Safe registered partner. Between us, we have over 50 years of experience and can tackle all manner of plumbing, central heating and gas work. The bathroom required adaptation to cater for mobility issues. It is often the case that in very cold weather the cold water pipes feeding the boiler may freeze, or the 'condensation pipe' taking the natural condensation away from the boiler to an external drain may freeze. In both cases, the boiler will not work but it can be easily fixed if you can identify the frozen pipe (either to or from the boiler) and thaw it out by applying hot water bottles. External pipework is of course very likely to freeze in cold weather, so it is sensible to turn the water supply off on the isolation valves to any taps or appliances you have so that in the case of a burst there won't be a huge amount of water leaked.
If you've got an issue with your appliance, we are fully qualified to remove your old appliance and install your new one safely. We are also happy to take a look at broken appliances and check that there isn't an issue with the plumbing. If the issue is the plumbing we are happy to help!
