Your Trusted Architectural Consultant in Chichester
Established in 1973, our architectural consultancy has spent five decades pioneering contextual design that harmonises with historical landscapes and local materials. As a Royal Institute of British Architects member since 1974, we've earned over 60 industry awards for innovative projects spanning country estates, conservation areas and national monuments. Our practice uniquely combines architectural expertise with artistic sensibility, informed by decades of teaching at Brighton School of Architecture and creating landscape paintings exhibited at the Royal Academy. We specialise in creating buildings that respect their environment while addressing contemporary needs, drawing inspiration from Victorian design philosopher John Ruskin's principles of architectural integrity. With a legacy of high-profile commissions across Sussex and Surrey, including Tortington Priory restoration and Goodwood estate developments, we maintain rigorous standards of craftsmanship and contextual sensitivity. Our team's deep understanding of heritage conservation, gained through roles as Sussex Heritage Trust trustees and National Open Art Competition judges, ensures every project balances creativity with historical responsibility. We continue to influence architectural discourse through our academic contributions and practical implementations of sustainable design principles.

Our architectural consultancy specialises in creating contextually sensitive designs that respect historical landscapes and local materials. With five decades of experience since 1973, we've developed expertise in balancing modern functionality with environmental harmony. Our award-winning approach has been applied to over 60 notable projects including country estates and conservation areas across Sussex and Surrey.
Contextual Architecture
We specialise in contextual architecture that creates buildings responding to their historical and environmental surroundings. Our designs consider landscape, materials and form to ensure new constructions complement existing architectural heritage. This approach has been refined through major projects at locations like Goodwood Estate and Chichester Harbour since our practice began in 1973.
Painting Commissions
Neil Holland offers bespoke painting commissions capturing the Sussex landscape in watercolour and oils. These artworks reflect his architectural understanding of spatial relationships and have been exhibited at prestigious venues including the Royal Academy. Commissions allow clients to own unique pieces that showcase the region's natural beauty through a professional architect's eye.
Landscape Prints
High-quality prints of Sussex landscapes are available in mounted and framed formats. These reproductions make our original artwork accessible to wider audiences while maintaining exceptional artistic standards. Each print captures specific locations like Chichester Cathedral and Arundel Castle, offering views that reflect our deep connection to the local environment.
Conservation Projects
We have extensive experience in conservation projects including the restoration of national monuments like Tortington Priory. Our approach combines historical research with practical implementation to preserve architectural heritage while ensuring structural viability. This expertise has been developed through decades of work in conservation areas and with listed buildings across southern England.
