Mary is a chartered architect with over thirty years experience. After working on the listed building re-survey of Lincolnshire carried out by English Heritage, she went into private practice and has since been involved almost exclusively with the conservation and repair of historic structures. As well as undertaking projects for private clients, she has advised Central and many Local Government Authorities on different aspects of conservation, including casework, grants and appraisals. Mary is on the register of architects accredited in building conservation and has successfully undertaken many projects on sensitive historic buildings, including churches, monuments, mills, houses and cottages.
