Very poor, hired carpet cleaner all optimistic at the time, plus the stair tool. Found the stair tool would not work. Eventually when cleaning up found it was blocked, had not been cleaned and not checked in by B&Q. Asked for refund was told to contact Rug Doctor directly. The B&Q manager/supervisor was rude, very off putting, asked for my deposit back, was told I could not have it as I did not have my receipt, apparently it is in the Terms and Conditions, not that I could find it. Was also given the wrong phone number to call. So my lowest score given was generous.

Well I have seen some of The reviews it’s ready isn’t rug doctor‘s fault don’t forget you are purchasing from dealers that don’t check the machine back in I have a retail outlet which uses rug doctor i’ve never had any complaints from my customers they say it is amazing and we have a carpet retailers shop we sell some amazing carpets and I have been fully trained and did carpet cleaning before we took the shop over Bing experienced in supplying and fitting new carpets and previously cleaning existing carpet installations I can now say the rug doctor is one of the best hire machines chemicals are amazing and backup and service is tremendous lots of people ask me how can I look after our new carpets are always say vacuum vacuum vacuum and clean it every 12 months it’s all about looking after and maintenance would you neglect your BMW and would you service it regularly if you don’t it will breakdown it’s the same with the carpets The rug doctor will remove grit and dust which will cut and destroy your carpets my advice is use the rug doctor more frequently anyway it’s up to you probably cost you a lot of money and you walk on it daily you spill stains on it daily you abuse it more than you think it’s not the carpet retailer‘s fault that your carpet wears out it’s your fault for not looking after it properly rent the rug doctor !!!!!
I have used Rug Doctor many times without issues but the new design is rubbish and doesn't do what it's supposed to! Doesn't drag the water out as good as the old machines so now I have a nasty smell in my living room and also in my car which I cleaned with the new attachment. I am starting to worry now as my daughter has Cystic Fibrosis and cannot be around stagnating water! Im now stressed that my car is holding water as it absolutely stinks! Will NEVER rent a rug doctor again. Dont need this stress at 7 months pregnant!

We have a young baby and managed to accidently spill Calpol over our light coloured carpet. We tried everything to get it out including Vanish but nothing worked until we hired a Rug Doctor. In two passes this ugly stain was gone despite the fact that it had been dried in for about 3 weeks! I cannot recommend Rug Doctor enough. Now all the carpets in the house have got their soft bounce back - which baby loves. Plus we've got that 'just like new' smell back again. We give Rug Doctor 5 stars for cleaning performance.
