We must, by law, provide an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) to people renting a home from us. In the same way that Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) provide information about the performance of items such as fridges and washing machines, an EPC for a home provides an energy-rating efficiency rating from A to G; A is efficient and G is inefficient. The rating is based on certain factors including age, heating, lighting, and insulation. The ratings are standard so you can compare the energy efficiency of one home against another.
