Marble Fireplaces

My marble fireplaces and marble fire surrounds are manufactured in my own Birmingham based UK workshops. I use only superior quality marble slabs from Spain and Italy to produce my fireplaces. We are proud to bring you a range of high quality, beautifully crafted fire surrounds. We use both modern and traditional methods of manufacture, allowing us to craft intricate detail and design into what will become a popular focal point in your home. My Limestone Fireplaces are manufactured using quality Portuguese, Semi Rijo limestone and a combination of modern machinery and traditional hand finishing by skilled stone masons.

Designer Fireplaces uses a combination of modern and traditional methods in the manufacture of our marble fireplaces. Our marble fireplaces are manufactured and hand finished in our own UK workshops by skilled masons and we are one of the few companies left manufacturing marble fireplaces from high quality Spanish and Italian Marbles (read about our Marbles here). With a wealth of experience in the art of marble fireplace craftsmanship our masons can craft a marble fireplace mantel or limestone fireplace mantel that will bring a touch of elegance to the focal point of your home.

All of the marble fireplaces, marble fire surrounds and marble hearths sets are crafted in Designer Fireplaces workshops. Using a combination of modern and traditional methods by craftsmen with many years experience. Owner Mick prides himself on the quality of fireplaces and the service provided by the team. Dealing with all aspects of an order from initial enquiry through order, manufacture and delivery. All of our marble fireplaces are suitable to be installed with a gas fire. If you are looking to use a gas fire, it is a legal requirement that you use a Gas Safe registered installer. We can manufacture most of our marble fireplaces to suit solid fuel fires. We highly recommend seeking a Hetas Certified engineer to carry out any installations or inspections when using solid fuel. All of our marble fireplaces are suitable for use with an electric fire. The vast majority of electric fires run out into a standard 3 pin plug and whilst you do not require any specialist fitter to install, it may be a good idea if you haven't undertaken similar projects before.

We use Spanish and Italian Marble manufactured from two of the finest manufacturers in the world. The use of quality marble is of the highest importance when choosing a fireplace (or anything else) for your home. We chose to source our marble from these two manufacturers due due their quality products, passion for marble and their for ecology. Here you will find some FAQ's and a small profile of the 2 manufacturers we use and some of their accreditations. There is an influx of cheaper marbles flooding the market from the far east and they use a much higher resin content, this makes the marble appear chalky compared to the highly polished finish of our European Marble.

My Limestone Fireplaces are manufactured using quality Portuguese, Semi Rijo limestone and a combination of modern machinery and traditional hand finishing by skilled stone masons. They are manufactured in either my own UK workshops or Portuguese workshops. Each and every Limestone Fireplace has natural viens and stucture so no two Limestone Fireplaces are the same, this ensures the Limestone Fireplace you choose is unique to you.
