Wells are decommissioned once they are no longer required for ongoing monitoring, sampling, abstraction or injection.
Geotron UK Ltd. was founded in 2002 by the collaboration of a UK based team with an environmental consultancy background and Geotron International B.V., an established Dutch drilling contractor operating internationally on environmental and geotechnical drilling programmes since 1989. The result was a UK-based independent company offering a range of technical site services to clients throughout the UK and the Republic of Ireland. Operating initially with a single site crew, the company has grown year on year currently working with a team in excess of 30 site operatives, engineers, managers and support staff.
